NWSource Pet Picts

This weekend the owner and her friends took me and Scooby to some event put on by NWSource.com down at the waterfront. I wasn't really sure where we were going but apparently owner decided to send in a photo of me from our hike last year and it was picked to be in their contest. Well it seems I was 1 of 3 finalists so we had to go and walk the runway. Owner had me wear my backpack, which I love, and we walked the runway. We were up against a pug named Winston and another dog who did not show up. After much thought the judge picked me - can you imagine - I won in the Best Working Pet category! It was very exciting, I've never done anything like that before. I was given a basket filled with treats and toys and I've been having fun with them. Scooby stole the stuffed animal and won't give it back but I guess I can share with him. His picture wasn't picked to be in the contest... atleast this way he gets a little something. Seems I'm the hot bitch in the house and he doesn't like it!! (he kept barking at the show - trying to steal my moment...)

So anyways, sorry it's been awhile since I've written in my blog. Scooby and I have been busy playing and relaxing. It was a good summer but now we're getting ready for winter... hopefully it'll be a good one with plenty of snow for us to play in...

Here are the picts the owner and friends took!

Apparently Winston the Pug is not real happy with me for winning - Sorry Winston... I do like pugs, I have 2 cousins that are pugs. There is always next year! Best of luck to you!!

Halloween 2006

Thank God we do not have to dress up this year. Last year the owners made me dress up as Wonder Woman and Scooby as Bat Man. Yes, pictures do exist...

The owners had a party Saturday night but sent us to our favorite doggie daycare for the evening. We played roughly and ran ourselves silly. I was so tired when I got home. Thankfully I did find a few left over chips and snacks on the floor from the party. The owners had some messy folks at their party apparently but hey, snakcs for me is a good thing.

I have tried so hard to get my paws on the endless supplies of candy in the house - no luck. After the carrot cake incident I have been cut off from sweets. Did I tell you about that? The owner made a yummy carrot cake with the carrots from his garned. Well, when they were away I jumped up to the counter and licked that bad boy almost clean. Owner caught me and yelled at me yet she didn't throw it away, just pushed it back to the back of the counter. That night other owner came home from work and cut himself a slice - whoops! He was not happy with me when she told him what I did... Next day owners left for work and I finished the rest of that cake. Trust me it was worth the punishment... I was just yelled at, no biggie. I pretended to be sad and sorry but really I was just relishing in the memories of that delicious cake. I ate about 90% of it and didn't get sick!!

Well I am off to see if I can get some candy. Only a few hours till the owners get back. Happy Halloween!

Nothing new in my world... really

I swear I live a pretty dull life, I really just eat, poo, sleep, repeat... Every now and then we get treats and go to the dog park, but not enough to be on the top 3 items of my life. Sad huh.

Scooby and I have been pretty busy taking care of the owners. One is always working evenings and the other always during the day. We like that though b/c then someone is pretty much always home with us.

Owner has been taking a rowing class which she is always talking about. You'd think she was some Olympic rower the way she won't shut up... (Even though I am a dog I know what the Olympics are...) Other owner talks about work and some band named TOOL alot. I think he is in love with this TOOL person, he won't shut up about it. He saw them twice in one week - I think thats more obsession than love... Ya think?

I know I am all scatterbrain right now but so much has happened since my last post. The owners got hitched while we went away for a 3 week vacation of our own at some dog ranch - we both loved it. Chicken and rice for dinner every night, sleeping under the stars, playing with other dogs, nice caretakers, etc... It was great!

Once we got back home there were presents and moving things around... but finally life is back to normal. Scooby and I are back to our eat, poo, sleep routine. Thank God!

Sorry...

It has been quite sometime since I have been able to update this site. The owners computer kinda blew up and they finally replaced it with a working one - notice I didn't say new. Owner got a free one from work so other owner could check his email during the day. It's real slow and doesn't even run Windows XP, not that I know what that means, I'm a dog.

So anyways, I'm back up and running. I went to the vet yesterday for my routine shots... Never fun. Scooby got to go along for the ride so he didn't feel left out sitting at home while I was out and about. He tends to wine if he is left alone and noone likes that.

The owners are counting down the days till their wedding. Scooby and I get to head to a doggie spa for 17 days or so... I heard the owners say we probably wouldn't want to come home after being there for so long... if they only knew... 17 days to run outside with other dogs on a farm - come on, who would want to come home... The place we are going is http://www.roscoesranch.com/ - one of the owner works with the woman who owns the place with her husband. Guess we'll meet them soon enough.

Not much else is really new. The weather has been kinda yucky so we don't get to go out as much. Mud is no fun plus I'm not a fan of getting all wet. I'm kind of a sissy about it. Scooby doesn't care though. Must be b/c he is a boy...

Well, it's time for me to go take a nap. I've been chasing Scooby all morning and I am pooped.

Christmas is upon us...

The owners have yet to setup a tree but word around the house is that will happen this weekend. I am longing for the pepermint canes that hang just low enough for me to snack on when noone is looking. Plus, I enjoy eating and getting the tinsel stuck to my fur and dragging it all around the house and then pretending I don't know how it got downstairs... However I am always busted when the owners notice a few strands stuck in my poo in the yard. (Yes, I have them trained to pick it up!)

So, the gifts have started arriving. I have spent housr and hours licking and sniffing them and I have no idea what they are. Scooby doesn't seem interested enough to help me tear the paper... Lazy dog! What good is he? All the suspence is killing me!

I didn't ask for much this Christmas. I asked for the usual Greenies that I drool over, my favorite food (Beneful, thank you!), a nice new toy just for me, lots of pig ears to chew on and maybe a new leash - I'm tired of the flowered one. Noone takes me seriously with all that foliage on me... I'm no sissy!

Not much is really going on at home. The owners are busy working and attending events associated with the holidays. Owner just started a jewelry mentorship with another artist in town so that is her new keep busy event... She had several girl friends over last week to help make jewelry. Scooby and I got locked in the owners room - B-O-R-I-N-G!

Anyways, have a fun holiday season. Save your leftover fruitcake for us b/c I'll eat anything and Scooby just doesn't care - he'd eat wood if you gave it to him.

Just a Monday

Last night my owner had her last Ladies Who Launch class. She was pretty sad that it was ending, although I hear she will still attend meetings every month. She came home with alot of goodies and presents from everyone. None that I could have - as usual.

I swear I am so neglected - no one gives me any candy, cookies, turkey - nothing! Oh wait... Speaking of turkey, on thanksgiving I was given some wet food (mixed in with my usual dry food), which I don't usually get but love sooo sooo much. I ate it so fast that after about 10 min I threw it ALL up in the living room, on carpet - it came up as if I had swallowed it whole. Lovely visual, I know... What can I say, I was excited to get it - I can't help that I scarfed it down faster than I have ever eaten before. My excuse is I didn't want Scooby to eat it... although he was busy eating his own. You never know though, he could have rushed over and stole mine too. It could happen.

So, anyways, thanksgiving was good. I did get a tiny bite of turkey after my little incident. I think everyone felt sorry for me b/c I now had no food in my stomach. Although, that could have been my plan all along (evil laugh inserted here). They were all joking that I was belimic - I'm not, really!

Other owner had some buddies over last night to watch football and drink beer. Always exciting for me b/c Scooby and I like to show off for the guests and wrestle. I won of course!

Tonight I suspect is going to be a fun night of laying around and chewing on some bones... Owner plans to make some jewelry, maybe I can help pick up the beads on the floor or something. Maybe?

Sorry

Hello Fans! Sorry I have not updated my blog in so loang - Scooby has been keeping me busy with his chasing and just asking for a beating from me... So busy! Our owners got engaged about a month ago so I guess that means we will all be a legal family soon. I hear they plan to go to Hawaii, I am so excited to run free on the beach and play with Scooby. We will love Hawaii...

What? We're not going? Scooby just informed me we have to go to our special place while they are gone - man that so sucks!! Why can't we go? I don't mind riding under the plane. I need to have a talk with the owners, that's ridiculous that we can't be there to celebrate in the love of our owners not to mention go to Hawaii and play on the beach. I am not very happy about this at all. I will keep you all updated.

Other than that not much is going on at home. It's been rainy so we don't get to go out as much. The owners are not fans of our muddy foot prints. I can't imagine why, it's not like it's hard to clean up, geesh. I need more green grass and fresh air people!! Plus it's so much fun throwing Scooby to the grown and getting him all muddy - makes me laugh!

Well, it's time to go out for a potty break so I will leave you all for now. Wish me luck on Hawaii!!
